How do I manage my MS SQL Server database settings?
Note: The following information pertains only to MS SQL products associated with Windows plans. Some features described are not available for all accounts, and may appear differently in your Control Panel interface.
To Manage Your MS SQL 2005 Database Settings:
- From your Hosting Control Panel, click MS SQL Control Panel. The SQL Server Management window appears.
Note: This page may take a few minutes to load. If you have not yet upgraded your MS SQL database, you are taken to the Manage SQL Database window which will allow you to perform the upgrade. You must upgrade your database in order to use these feature.
- Click Manage for the database you want. The Manage SQL Database window appears.
- Click to manage the feature you want. These features are:
- SQL Database Statistics : Lists the database name, server name, server version, database and transaction log information, and access to refresh those statistics. You may also increase or decrease the size of your database.
- Database Owner (DBO), User Name, Access, Default Database, Global Actions : Click to manage your Database Users.
- SQL Tools : Click Truncate SQL Logs to shorten your transaction log file.
Click MS SQL Server Upgrade to access the SQL Server 2005 Upgrade window.
- Check Database Consistency and Reindex : Click DBCC and Reindex Only check over your database.
Click Optimizes Indexes for frequency of Updates to modify your database index according to how often it is updated.
- Set Database Compatibility Mode : Lists the current SQL mode your database is emulating. Click the mode you want.
