Which ASP.NET configurations are supported?

The ASP.NET configuration options that are listed below are supported. Additionally, on our shared Web hosting platforms, many ASP.NET configuration options are not configurable at (a) the site level, (b) the application level or (c) the sub-directory level. These configuration restrictions are in effect because certain options can have an adverse effect on the security, performance and stability of the Web server. As a result, only the following settings can be modified in your Web site's web.config file(s):

• authentication

• appSettings
