Is there a way to automatically not go to the shopping cart page every time a customer clicks the [Add to Cart] button, but only when they click [View Cart]?

You can change whether the cart is displayed or not in ShopSite Pro and ShopSite Manager stores. On the Commerce Setup > Order System > Shopping Cart screen you can set whether the cart is displayed when a customer clicks an [Add to Cart] button. To not display the cart until the customer clicks a [View Cart] button, do not check the box labeled Default for the "Show me my shopping cart" checkbox and check the box labeled Do not display the the "Show me my shopping cart" check box.
